The following criteria are used to allocate places:

Siblings of current pupils, priority eldest.

Siblings of former pupils, priority eldest.

Children of persons employed by the Board of Mangagement.
- Children who are being raised through the medium of Irish, either wholly or bi-lingually (Irish and another language) on an equal basis, priority eldest.
- Children of a past pupil who are learning through Irish (capped at 25% of the available places), priority eldest.
- Children who have obtained a determined level of fluency in Irish which would be likely to decline if he/she is not admitted to an Irish medium school, priority eldest.
- All other children, priority eldest.
